Re: The Org Bar, Pull up a chair and share. What're you drinking?

Aldi have an own label brand, Glen Marnoch which they use for a variety of bottlings. I bought the Islay version for £18.99. This is a vatted whisky but if you like Caol Ila this is as close as you...

Re: The Org Bar, Pull up a chair and share. What're you drinking?

Every year I make sloe gin but its a little early yet for the sloes to ripen. I just cracked open the last bottle from last year. Absolute nectar.

Re: The Org Bar, Pull up a chair and share. What're you drinking?

Just back from 2 months in Turkey. I picked up a 1 ltr bottle of Ardbeg for €49 at the Dalaman duty free. That translates to £39. In Waitrose, a 70cl bottle costs £49. Bargain!

Re: The Org Bar, Pull up a chair and share. What're you drinking?

I'm not a fan of Highland whiskies as I prefer a peaty flavour, hence my liking for Ardbeg and Caol Ila. However, due to price I drink Bowmore more than any other. I have tried Glen Scotia, a...

Re: The Org Bar, Pull up a chair and share. What're you drinking?

I'm with LP here. Ardbeg is my absolute favourite followed closely by Caol Ila. Unfortunately, at over £40 a bottle, I can't really justify buying Ardbeg any more.

Re: The Org Bar, Pull up a chair and share. What're you drinking?

2 glasses of cheap Turkish Rose with my dinner (quite good actually, very like a Zinfandel) followed by an Efes pilsner in a local bar.

Re: The Org Bar, Pull up a chair and share. What're you drinking?

Currently on holiday in Turkey so it's Efes pilsner today. Back home, it's Adnams Broadside for me followed by almost any other Adnams brew.
