Cooking foil and Coca Cola. Not the diet type. Works well on stainless steel. The acid in the coke is the catalyst.

And the answer to prevent these kind of problems? Be like me and ride all year round. My K3 lives out all year round, mostly without a cover so the rain can wash away the salt.

Wow Tim, £170 a month is steep. I live in a 4 bed detached house with gas central heating and only pay £79 a month. We saved a lot on electricity by changing all the light bulbs to LED's.

I got lucky. I hit 65 in the September but decided to work through til the end of the FY in April. Come March and the department had to downsize and lose 2 people. Voluntary redundancy was on offer...

Just look on the bright side Trev. More time to yourself. I had 2 periods of 1 year without work when I was contracting. It prepared me for retirement.

I bought the old version (twice). A nice feature of the old one and not on the new version is the cut out near the end of the lever. It meant that if you did drop the bike, as I did, the lever breaks...

To get tar off paintwork without damaging it, gently rub butter into the tar and watch it just come straight off. Leaves a greasy mark though.
