Woke the bike up from it's winter hibernation and checked it over for an upcoming MOT. Disassembled and cleaned out the starter motor switchgear - the starter switch was sticking, which seems to be a... |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
It might be worth waiting until black Friday. There's a chance of a discount with maybe free delivery. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I did the same as Adam on my SV. Removed one of the footpeg bolts, replaced it with a swingarm removal kit fitting and just left it in. They are not very big and didn't bother me at all. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Alternatively, lighter fuel should get rid if the glue. I've found brake & clutch cleaner is good for grime and grease removal too. Spray it onto a rag or strong kitchen paper and rub. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
After having a stone make quite an impression on my radiator, I decided prevention was better than cure. The covers that Admin is selling fit an 04 pointy no problem and look very nice too. ... |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Another job I wish I'd never started. I wanted to put my new shock on and while in there, thought I'd take a look at the linkage. http://forums.sv650.org/picture.php?albumid=1239&pictureid=7997 ... |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that 'tinkering' is a complete misnomer. Maybe it's just me but any simple task just seems to meet complications and gets progressively more difficult. I thought... |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I changed the oil, coolant and put in a new air filter a couple of weeks ago. No leaks so I'm happy. Today, i switched the OE levers for some nice new adjustable ones in titanium from... |
