Due to our car failing its MOT in spectacular fashion, it's with some regret that I'm having to put my 53-plate SV650 up for sale. It's currently SORN and in the garage awaiting me fitting the new... |

Re: Riding position - faired v naked?
if you can lean on the tank bag, you're *definitely* not upright :p in all seriousness, i had a serious car accident (flipped several times) which basically left my lower back a mass of scarred... |

Re: Riding position - faired v naked?
naked version is more comfortable by a mile - higher bars, and footpegs are more underneath you than behind, so the weight isn't on your wrists. also, you sit more upright, so your visibility is... |

Re: Caberg Hyperx - anyone have one?
@chris can honestly say that i've never had a spot of bother with my trip at all, and i've used them for years. never had a problem with the internal visor fogging up, either - sounds to me like you... |

Re: Caberg Hyperx - anyone have one?
i've used caberg's trip for years, and think it's a great helmet. never had an issue with wind noise, but then i tend to use isolating headphones under the helmet anyways. certainly like the trip... |

Re: So what's the difference between an SV650 and an SV650S?
i've always thought sportsbikes and plastics were for people who would rather pay more to be uncomfortable myself... :p for me, naked bikes look like proper bikes - exposed engine, visible... |

Re: is there any real point in me upgrading the rear shock?

Re: is there any real point in me upgrading the rear shock?
that's pretty much what i thought. so far, it seems to working fine, and with me not knowing anything about the purpose of preload/compression/rebound it seems like something that i don't need to do... |

is there any real point in me upgrading the rear shock?
i've been looking at the figures, and decided to take a look at the calculators on the race tech website to see what they suggested in terms of changing the stock rear suspension. given that i... |

Re: So what's the difference between an SV650 and an SV650S?
there's a fair few differences, all told. naked had higher, wider bars, no fairing, is geared for acceleration and lower top speed, is more comfortable due to seating position/foot peg location,... |

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy
actually, i've re-read it a couple of times now. it's pretty helpful in getting a handle on the tutoro auto. actually, one thing i was going to ask - did you end up leaving it mounted to your... |

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy
yes, it was. heat shrink... now there's a good idea! saves the messiness of a cable-tie, and less likely to snag. i'll have to try that out myself! i have to admit i'm still in two minds... |

Re: Glasses and helmets
my old flip-front caberg trip did well enough with them, but in the end the glass lens just snapped. might have been the action of closing the flip-front, or it might just have been the stress of... |
