Re: Baffle removed!😱😱😱😱

I always thought that my SK6 was a little smoother and picked up better with the baffle in. In the end I modified the baffle slightly to make it a bit more 'gruff' without upsetting the pick up...

Re: New girl sets up a SV650 YouTube channel

'cause it emmet season in Falmouth now so I'm a bit wary of 'the fast down country lanes' thing and the buggers don't pull over when I'm trying to get to Asda roundabout on the way home from work :0

Re: Noisy fork - oil change?

Change the fork oil - if it's been stood it could well have wet and mangy oil that doesn't damp too well so it hits the bump stops too easily.
Oil change is by by taking them off and turning upside...

Re: Aftermarket Chinese levers? Pointy.

You properly CAN make the lever work the clutch switch with a bit of tinkering. Mine needed a bit of fettling before the switch cam worked ok

Well, you pays your money etc....
I've had Chinese levers for 4 years now and they've been excellent.

Re: Just re-snorkelled my bike (SV650S K6)

Yep, tried mine with an SV1000 snorkel and much preferred the original Sv650 one which went back in after a week. I though it ran smoother too!

Re: Sv650 or sv1000

I don't think anyone buys an SV for comfort! It's usually the complete opposite as you can see from all the threats about adding 'comfort kits' or Gel seats!

Re: DID VX or VZM (both x ring)

Re: SV650 pointy front end upgrade options, Bang for buck?

I Have the Debrix emulators and K-Tech springs and think they are excellent -it really transformers the front end. On a personal note I think 15w is way too thick and would go for RSF Pro 7.5W or...

Re: K5 exhaust mods issues ?

Probably 99.9% of pointies with aftermarket end cans don't have Power Commanders. Probably 99.9% of road legal end cans don't change the fuelling.

PS. SV650Racer is a girl :)

Re: Where do you buy from?

I usually get oil filters and washers from my local bike shop and oil from Halfords. You can get everything on-line of course but I like the immediate take-home effect from buying in shops. If you...

Re: Rearset Riser Plates-Any Feedback?

I did buy a set to try them out but found I couldn't use them as it moved the brake lever (brake piston lever) too close to my (after-market) exhaust. I resold them to an owner on here. I got Buell...

Re: Which fork oil weight to use?

I meant that I hated 15W with the standard damper rod forks and springs - different ball game entirely with emulators and heavier fork springs (like wot I said in my first post)

Re: Which fork oil weight to use?

I tried 15W oil and really hated it - it made the front front end very harsh and uncomfotable - may have worked on smooth race track but not every day roads - the ultimate solution was new springs...
