A regular fault giving these symptoms has been corrosion of connections within the ignition switch connector to the bike's loom. Search 'green connector'. Positioned just above the radiator , infront...

I have them on my SV.
Only ever had front skip out on bumpy toe down roundabouts, but gripped quickly afterwards ( more an issue with the SV suspension I suggest). Never had a issue in the wet....

Part no: 09139-06107 M6 x 16 shouldered. And it needs to be shouldered so that you don't crack the plastic panel when tightened.



You should be able to find your washer on these...
