I was stripping to service the swingarm bearings so the brake hose wasn't an issue. True about the force going through the brakes, that means the chain is taking is then |

That can't be so bad then. Mine was pretty tight, I put a big lump of softwood wrapped in towels through the wheel and over the swingarm. |

I don't mean to be the forecast of doom but you have to wonder with that sort of force what stresses the crank has been under and whether is has suffered as a result. |
