Re: Sell it or break it?

It all comes down to how much time and effort you're prepared to put in to the sale, and whether you think the extra few hundred quid is worth all the time it will take to split it and sell as parts....

Caberg Ego, forcefield back protector, leathers & textiles

Having had to sell my bike a few months ago I decided it's about time I tried to get rid of the last few bits and pieces that I've got lying around. All prices include postage, but not paypal fees if...

Re: slight ticking noise

Except when you forget to screw the baffle in and instead as you pull away you hear a nice clang as it launches it out the back of the exhaust and across the road!

Re: slight ticking noise

I was going to suggest it may well be the front CCT, they can be a bit noisy on the earlier SVs.

If it starts to get worse I'd have the front one taken out and checked, but a little bit of ticking...

Re: Curvy SV650S - £500

Yep, it's that one.

Personally I didn't take a guess, but the garage I had just taken it to for its MOT (it broke down about 200 yards from it!) said that from the way it broke and how it was...

Curvy SV650S - £500

Ok, I really didn't want to have to sell this bike, but I'm currently so broke I literally can't afford my next months rent, so unfortunately it's got to go.

Obviously, for the price that I'm...

Re: HJC-HQX helmet large

Don't you have to put a sale price on this forum, even if you're just linking to an ebay ad?

Re: Fluid leak question

From what I've been able to get out of the guy today he was saying that it's oily, so I'm guessing that pretty much means it could only be brake fluid from the rear brake system?

Fluid leak question

Good evening fellow orgers.

At the moment my bike is tucked up in a neighbours garage while I'm at University and I'm trying to figure out what the problem it has just sprung is, while being about...

Re: 1st drop, bit of advice please :(

Just a few things, the crash bungs, go with R&G, you can't go wrong.

For replacing the indicator and gear level I would recommend http://www.svspares.com/

They are based in Bristol so you would...

Re: End cans for sale and chain and sprockets free!

If they're still available I'd happily take the chain & sprockets off your hands.

Mine are buggered to hell and have needed replacing for the last few months, but being a student (and self funded,...

Re: Fuel range on a Curvy?

I'm on a 2000 Curvy, tend to get 160 to 170 from a tank.

Re: My Bike has been stolen!

I've got a few friends at University in Swansea, all of them live in fairly dodgy areas so I'll get them to keep an eye out incase it gets dumped.

Re: Speeding tickets

I will enjoy being sat infront of my computer all night.

You know why I'll enjoy it?

It's because I'm working towards getting my degree in mechanical engineering, so that I can graduate and get...

Yeah, you're ancient compared to him, and I bet you didn't have a degree when you were 17 like he does either do you.

Re: Speeding tickets

I've got 3 points, have been caught speeding and got off without any points on two occasions, ride all year round, and absolutely hate "bikers meets".

So, your assessment of me was correct on...

Re: Candy blue worn passenger hand rail / grab rail, pointy sk6

I should point out that even if there were people interested, you've probably put them off because of the fact that you're charging double the cost and then postage on top, for people to get it...

I'm wishing a bad thing on you for the benefit of everybody else.

Re: Speeding tickets

I do hope you get a ban.

You don't get to pick and choose which laws you obey. The speed limit is a law, even if you don't agree with some of them you are still expected to follow it or face the...

Re: Removing brake pistons?

What you need to do is hook both back up to the bike and then find something solid to put into each brake calliper.

If you find something that is thick enough so the pistons can extend most of the...

Re: Major oil leak - CCT related?

Sid, I've got a few spares so replacing it isn't a problem anyway.

Yorkie, just about everything! At least 2 litres anyway based on how much it took to fill it back up.

Ah well, we all make...

Major oil leak - CCT related?

The other day I needed to replace the rear CCT on my curvy SV, and while I was at it I took the front one out to check it was working fine.

Got about 2 miles down the road and realised I was...
