SV has been laid up for few years, dug it out and MOT'd a few weeks ago but it was running like crap, erratic idle, was slow returning to idle when revved and would briefly drop a cylinder...

parked on the driveway pretty much doubles my premium.
It's legalised robbery. They're quick to shaft you in the slightest error but it doesn't seem to matter when its the other way around.

Depends on who you do work for. It's fairly common for reasonably sized companies to hold off payments for lengthy amounts of time which can cause problems if you don't have the money to cushion it....
