As others have commented, they offer a better bite and feedback. The road versions work well at any temperature and are no different to other pads.

when you say you turn the ignition on and nothing happens, the dash does not even light up? if this worked fine before the new battery, Is it fitted correctly? Connections/Poles are the right way...

i've never had issues with sintered pads, i prefer them to a standard 'organic' compound as the bite of the pad is better. Discs and pads are designed to wear! To ensure you have the best braking...

Try Graphite Grease instead & see if that helps. Sometimes when you have a mix of materials (aluminium fork leg/steel screw/coppa slip) it's not as effective asa each one reacts & behaves...

Speak to the https://www.mib.org.uk/ and see if they can help. You pay a fee to them in all motor vehicle policies, so why not see if you can get some help

I think potentially its a fuel supply issue. Try opening the filler cap next time it does this. Give it 30 seconds or so, close it then try to start the bike. Also check the over flow & breather pipe...

Does it sound like its firing, or is it a clean turn over with no coughing in to life?
Does it stink of fuel after it finally fires up?
How does it run after this episode? Smooth, a bit lumpy?
