Re: 2004 motor

Thanks for the response. I have to replace the whole motor and frame since US EPA wouldn't let me bring them into the US.

2004 motor

I need to replace the motor in my 2004 track bike. Are there any red flags I should be looking for when finding a replacement? I believe that any motor from 03 to 06 should bolt up, correct?

Re: Novice Friendly Track Days

I attended the June 2 day. It was great. Even the poor morning weather turned out to be a good thing, as it facilitated an "open" track experience. With lots of on and off the track for instruction....

Re: Extended shifter rod

Thx for the responses. I think I'll cut it in 2, put a metal tube over it, set it to the proper length and weld the ends. I think it will help keep it straight. Looks like there will be enough...

Extended shifter rod

Hi everyone! Another quick question. I just put 1" up and 1" back foot peg plates on my 04 pointy. The stock shift rod is around 1.5" or 4cm too short, I read somewhere that a stock gsxr rod is...

Re: Pirelli SC's and tyre warmers

You just hit the crux of it for me. I'm sure at my current pace the tyres would actually cool, off the warmers. So again the SP's seem more appropriate for now. So I have one pair of Scrubs (not...

Re: Pirelli SC's and tyre warmers

So I'm a bit confused. It looks like the SP is the road version and SC are track. The reason I believe this is that the SC tyres are only sold by track vendors in the US. It also looks like the SC's...

Re: Pirelli SC's and tyre warmers

Thank you for the responses. I was led to believe the SC's were "track only" (which confused me as they are not a slick) so thanks for clearing that up. I would like to buy some warmers but I'm...

Re: Jets

Wideguy, Have you found this method of reading plugs to be more obscure as of late with the addition of all the ethanol in the gas? I know it used to be spot on but I had a good mechanic friend tell...
