No more riding - for a few years anyway

So, my powered two-wheeled days are at an end, for the next few years at least.

I haven't used the bike since I tore my shoulder (non-bike related injury) in the spring, which saw me laid off work...

Plasterer NW London?

Just wondering if any of you lovelies know of a plasterer covering north-west London.

I've two (shortish) lengths of wall needing to be replastered, and I nearly fell off my chair at the almost...

Re: Yo - Soho - It's time for Ho Ho Ho! Vote here hoes...

Provisionally a yes, and the earlier the date the better. Might struggle to make a March date for reasons I'll put in another thread.

Re: soho 13/11/15

I'm not on two wheels (haven't been for a while, and won't be for the foreseeable future). I also have a chocolate cake to make tomorrow night :D

Re: soho Friday 15th May

Would absolutely love to come (*Hugs to Anna*), but we'll be on the last day of our holiday in sunny Sorrento, so I doubt I'll make it to Soho, what with jetlag, and holiday blues, and likely some...

Re: Soho Ho Ho - Christmas party time

Why have I only just noticed this thread?

I'm good for 28th Feb (am taking Mr to the Bond in Motion exhibition that afternoon for his birthday pressie) or 7th March. Can't make 14th, as we're away...

Re: Parking contravention 62...confused!

Back home from my nightshift and I've had a chance to do some googling.

The letter I've received is not a PCN, but a Notice to Owner stating that a PCN was issued. After wondering for a while why...

Re: Parking contravention 62...confused!

There are two grainy black and white photos showing my bike on the pavement, but no obvious ticket attached (there is no front facing photo). I'm not contesting that my bike was parked there, I just...

Re: Parking contravention 62...confused!

I just feel utterly deflated by this. I'm parking in the same place I've parked for years. I've got a PCN for it, but no ticket on the bike. If they sent an initial notice then it never got to me....

Re: Parking contravention 62...confused!

I've just realised that the 'date of service' was the 1st October, but the date of the notice is 4th November! There is also no 'discounted early payment' option. This is the first I've heard of this...

Re: Parking contravention 62...confused!

I believe that is contravention 01, whereas I've received notice of contravention 62.

Parking contravention 62...confused!

A bit of a long post, so TLDR version - Is this parking ticket valid?

I live in the London Borough of Brent and I've just received a £110 parking ticket for pavement parking near my house. I...

Re: Barbie at Keith's place

I'm working that day, and worse still, I'm on a 06.30 start the day after, so I'll have to give this a miss :(

Re: Family Holiday

Regarding oyster cards, you can buy them (and top them up) from any shop showing the blue oyster card logo (and obviously from stations). There are lots and lots and lots of shops that sell oyster...

Re: Soho Christmas Party - 1st March

I'm assuming that there will be others attending? Or is this the accurate list? Has the org moved to facebook instead?

Are we supposed to be pre-selecting our food again this year?

So many...

Utter rubbish! It's your inner child demanding these thrills and you're just dragging that poor boy along to make it appear socially acceptable. We have forms at work that we fill in about people...

Re: Soho Christmas Party - 1st March

Hey Vinc, I'm not LPH, but I can answer your question :p

Just copy the list onto a new post and add yourself to the end with a +1 (like I did, as I'm dragging the other half along as he rather...

Re: The Dog ate my homework.

I shall not be there this evening, despite having a fortnight off work. A few days ago I decided it would be a good idea to decorate the bedroom. Yesterday we started decorating the bedroom. Today,...

Any decorators in the Black Country?

I'm looking for someone who can fit a bathroom grab rail for my folks.

They want someone to fit the rail in the bath so my mom and dad can get in and out of the bath easily. Neither they nor me...

Re: friday the 20th dec

I'm ever so slightly miffed that my usual response has not warranted its own poll option :smt064

Anyhoo...I'll not be there, as I'll be at work on a nightshift. And seeing as for the first time in...
