Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

I don't even know where to start with finding someone to repair a zip ... apart from youtube, which would likely end in a mess.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

The zip on my jacket broke ... and I went onto the riding gear forum to report it on the original thread, and the thread has gone. I guess six years is a reasonable time for a jacket to last, but it...

Random bits and pieces looking for a new home

I've cleared out all of my old curvy bits and pieces, after looking for the clocks (for here (https://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?p=3143143)) a lot of it is pretty random and will be heading to...

Re: Gen 1 lights and speedo

I may have one in bits which you're welcome to for the cost of postage. I'll take a look the next time I'm in the garage, I can't promise it all works though.

Azra - https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/732776

My first pair of heated gloves, so hard to review them, but they don't feel any different to a pair of winter gloves,...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

Macna. Not a brand I've heard of before, but they seemed to be the best for what I wanted - not too bulky and the batteries they use (if not connected to the bike) are split into three to spread bulk.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

First ride of the year, and I've treated myself to a heated jacket and gloves. For the first time in a long time, I arrived without any white fingers. Very happy with them. :-)

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Waze!

So, I use Waze - for two good reasons: 1) it has motorbike-specific traffic, so will not take you down little back roads when you can filter instead, and 2) I keep my phone in my pocket, and...

Re: The all new, slap bang up to date photo of the day 2023

Cheers, both - we had fantastic weather, all things considered. Some rain, but it made the skies interesting.

Re: The all new, slap bang up to date photo of the day 2023

Just back from Inverness as my wife was running the Loch Ness marathon and I was on photo duty. Here are a few of the non-running photos - it's such a beautiful place, I literally stopped the car in...

Re: The random rideout pictures thread

Looks lovely. We have hay bales like that over a local common at the moment. It's quite hilly and I've no idea why no one has tried rolling the down hill ...

Re: The all new, slap bang up to date photo of the day 2023

You can either run as a team of 8, 4, 2 or solo. The male solo winner ran 16 laps, which is 64 miles. Kate, my wife, ran 40 miles (which she was happy with as she also had Covid last week!)

I...

Re: The all new, slap bang up to date photo of the day 2023

Apologies for the photo from Sunday, but I've been suffering with Covid for the last week. I did manage to get up on Saturday to take photos at our local 12 hour race. Absolutely cream-crackered now....

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

It's a brand new Honda Civic HEV. It works if I connect it to my phone, but I don't want to do that every time I drive anywhere. The maps are old, but I don't think that'll affect the functionality,...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Everyone seems to advise just using an app on the phone, which I guess I will. It's just frustrating as it means remembering to switch the config from bike to car mode all the time (or I guess using...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

I have a new car, the navigation doesn't get traffic info from the radio, it gets (apparently better) traffic info from the Internet instead. The car has a mobile phone built in and can even act as a...

Re: Electric Vehicles

The width of our houses are less than a length of a car, and I rarely get a parking space outside, sometimes having to park a fair way away. It'd work for some places, but not all.

Don't get me...

Re: Electric Vehicles

Funnily enough, I walked past that on Sunday, it's in the Aldi car park. I guess if you can top up when you do your weekly shopping, it makes sense. It looks very well designed, unlike some of the...
