Re: The running thread.

Same loop tonight. 37mins door to door with a long cool down walk. I think I could easily get that to 30mins.

My knee isn't as sore this time. Took a few days to recover last week. Hopefully it'll...

Has he given you any kind of timescale?

Yeah I wasn't sure if I would be too cold with just shorts and T shirt but it was fine

Re: The running thread.

It's too dark to cycle now so I went for my first jog in over a year tonight.

3 mile loop then a long walk home to cool down. And my knee was getting sore.

Not actually as bad as I thought it...

Re: The running thread.

I got a bike so I don't think I'll be running much anymore. I prefer the no impact nature of it. No risk of injury other than getting run over

Re: The running thread.

My ankle is better so I went for a 2 mile tester tonight. Oh man I am back to square -1 I think :(

I really need to get back out though and sort this belly out

Re: The running thread.

I walked to the shop the other day and it is sore again. I think it needs a good few weeks off

Re: The running thread.

I'm in the same boat. I don't know what I did to my ankle but every time I go out it flares up again. So I'm not going out again. It's still tender to touch and has been for weeks

Re: The running thread.

Do you have to sign up to see the pictures Gary?

I jogged another 6 miles tonight. My calves were super tight for some reason. I was nearly home before I got in to my groove

Managed a 6 mile jog tonight with a few small walks along the way. So much more appealing now that the sun is still out

Re: The running thread.

After sitting on my ass for 3 weeks I've been out a couple of times recently and my calf muscles near my ankles are hating life right now. I'm going to try to get out every 2 days and build up my...

Re: The running thread.

100 miles a year? Wow that's pointless lol

I just went out for a slow jog and managed 6 miles. That's the furthest I've ever gone lol

I did have to stop a few times on the way back because I...

Re: The running thread.

That is some ridiculous mileage! That's probably more than some orgers put on their bike in a year :p

Fair play though, you are very committed! How many times a week are you out?

Re: The running thread.

Got out for a slow jog tonight. I went a new route and thought it felt like miles more than usual, but I just checked and it was only 4.6 miles. I thought for sure I had set a new distance PB :p

Re: The running thread.

Looks too muddy and slippy for me Gary :p

I got out for a slow 3 mile jog tonight and was out for a sprint walk a few days ago. I'm trying to step it up a bit since I'm just sitting in the house...

Re: The running thread.

Got out for another sprint/walk/sprint/walk tonight. It's so much more stimulating than just plodding along jogging. You get the rush of going flat out, then instantly get to recover.

Re: The running thread.

I went out for a sprint/walk/sprint/walk tonight for a change. My chest was aching when I got in! Feels great running full speed though and means I'm out in the cold for less time :p
