Re: Vintage film cameras

Yep I only had one shot left, thought I had three. I was using the 6x9 numbers twice for 645, got my 8s and 9s confused and thought that after the second no.8 there would be two more.

Re: Vintage film cameras

Yep it's one of those. The shutter release is on the shutter not the body, but there is a ring that runs around the shutter with a finger lever, and lower down it connects to the actual shutter...

Re: Vintage film cameras

I reckon the Zeiss problem is that it's the sprocket-cokking type and they don't understand. That also releases the shutter lock, same as on the folding Contessa. I posted the K2 as (at least...

A few things on t'bay of pigs:
reasonable price, good camera 332864225464
Bit beaten up but cheap, looks like a good shutter 202496156792

Re: Vintage film cameras

Looks nice! Don't worry about it, I'm not (really) looking for anything. As usual.

Re: Vintage film cameras

I decided to pass on the Retina in the end, reports of stripped cokking rack being common, and the focus ring was loose, looks a bit sus. It hovered around 35 for a while then in the last 3 seconds...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Some good ones there Kenzie, the underwater one has a good lens on it alright. I first saw a 110 auto at a wedding many years ago, I couldn't get my head around it being a proper SLR but like it was...

Re: Vintage film cameras

I saw one of those, thought of you but couldn't remember the story on yours. There is a pair of Kodaks going, a Autograph or something, and a Retina II with Ektar 47mm f2 lens - they seem to have...

Re: Vintage film cameras

I reckon the shutter is the same as the Certo, and these things tend to be in more or less standard sizes

Re: Vintage film cameras

I know you like scale focus Kenzie, dunno if you have one of these, they are tiny, even smaller than the Contessa 35: 202473928608

Re: Vintage film cameras

Not sure I'm ready for a project or a half frame! Can't remember what's wrong with your Certo, is it the missing focus scale stop? Could you use parts form this? 292781241142

Re: Vintage film cameras

It's only the second roll I've put through it but it's a great camera. Contrast is rather high but I went for process and scan not print, first time I've done that, and you could PP it anyway. It's...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Some pics form my Konica S; there weren't really any decent ones from the Super A. I was using either a Pentax 28mm f2.8 or Hoya (same), neither are really good. Will have to find a better wide angle...

Re: Battery terminal bolts

Yep but as it's only just over a quid I'd have posted them (the day I can't afford a quid I'll be in more trouble than a couple of bolts will fix!)

Re: Vintage film cameras

You're alright, thanks, I'm tying not to be too much of a magpie! I keep an eye out for Certo bits but I think I have pretty much the full set for my Dolly.

Re: Back to standard?

I always thought the clutch cable was a bit minimal to be honest, you cold lose the extra by making a less direct routing, as long as you aim nice and straight for the top of the clutch cover. Brake...

Re: Battery terminal bolts

The square nuts slide into the slots in the terminals so they don't spin when you are putting the bolts in. I might have a spare pair somewhere if you're desperate.

Re: Vintage film cameras

Yowsers, think I have heard of the lens, they are a pretty penny. Looks nicely made.
