I've loosened off the lever end when I was investigating and pulled on the cable to see intially where it had snapped so thats probably why it seems off

I was recommended to use...

Hey, pointy k7

Clutch cable snapped, removed the 3 8mm bolts but had massive issues trying to pull the casing out, I do use chain wax but there was so much gunk behind it it had rubbered/hardened...

Currently got R&G bungs on my half faired pointy, have managed to get hold of lower fairings plus all original fixing brackets so I’m good to go

Am I still able to use my half faired R&G...

Sorry just noticed you have bar risers fitted, on a standard set up the Speedo area is fine so not sure wth yours

But it’s not something you will be operating all the time

I had heated grips on my last bike and luckily when I purchased the SV the last owner had also put them on - he put it in the flat area next to the Speedo

But the heated grips were temperamental...

Those press studs/clothes rivets (second reply) are your best bet, just like the pop buttons you get on textile jackets

I think it’s the name, it doesn’t help having the the word crash in there :)

They should call them slow speed/stationary bobbins on the side that will save you some pennies - or something like...
