At Snetterton again on Thursday, and then again towards the end of June. There's a deal at NoLimits -book one Snet day in May/June and get a 2nd May/June date for £69.
Don't suppose anyone else...

Re: Pointy bits

Ordered the remainder of the race bodywork today, so all of my stock bodywork (fairly decent shape - low mileage bike), except the tank, but including the seats, mirrors, headlight, subframes,...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Did a bit of work on my SZR660 today. I managed to wire in a 6-wire Domino start/run/kill switch in place of the 4-wire original. I'm not great at electrical, and the switches function differently,...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

Snetterton yesterday! My first time there- challenging, but fun. Shared a garage with some good guys. Had a cracking day - despite a 2hr break when a Ducati decided to sick up it's motor oil after...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

That's helpful info thanks, even if a bit of a bitter pill to swallow. The real difficulty is deciding whether to re-book tickets, or wait and see what happens and either make the trip, or not, on...

Re: Pointy bits

Hi Rob. Can you collect (not sure I've got a box big enough to post if not)? I've not spent much time looking at prices... Would £70 collected be fair? Feel free to PM to discuss.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Also... Dream World Travel may or may not be the company in question. In any case, do your homework, and how to spot suspect "invited" reviews on trustpilot etc -plenty of people there expressing the...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Nearly- more that there was still lots of time/opportunity for them to decide to issue tickets. So what seems like clear intent to scam, apparently doesn't meet their bar.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Mastercard! Specifically the chargeback "protection".

I've booked flights "home" (Canada) this summer for me, the Mrs and our kids, to visit my parents and siblings. We've not been there in over a...

Re: Pointy bits

Glad to hear it! They were a good improvement over stock for me, but then in deciding whether to take the next step with emulators or jump fully into the deep end with cartridges, I chose the...

Snetteron

I've booked Snetterton for next Thursday. Anyone else going? (I'm guessing not, but never hurts to ask)

Re: Pointy bits

So they're £90 new. I reckon £55 shipped is a fair price (nets me just under £50). PM me with your address if that works for you and I'll get back to you with bank details. Cheers!

Which springs - the shock springs or the fork springs, all of them or some combination? Can you ping me a postcode?

Pointy bits

So I'm enjoying the SV enough on the track that I don't really see myself being road focused on it again. With that in mind, I figure I might as well sell off the bits I've removed. I'm not looking...

Re: Bedford - April 9th

Was a bit cold, but dry and a huge amount of fun. My first outing in the inters group and I don't think I held anyone up (too much). I was generally pleased with my own performance at least :)

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

I did behind the sprocket cover today as well -also with kerosene, and an old tooth brush. Was pretty grim behind there - don't think it'd been done before. Not sure how much of it is "mine" - I've...

Booked this! Hope to meet some more SV people there. I've signed up for inters this time, so also hoping I don't make a complete t!t of myself :D

I went to Bedford last Sept (I think?) and...

Re: First trackdays of the year booked...

I love it, but my goal was to increase the space between the pegs and seat (I'm near 6'4"), as my aging knees were protesting. I topped off the FRP seat with 20mm foam to gain a little more space...

Re: First trackdays of the year booked...

Brilliant two days at Cadwell, and completely lucked out with the weather! Met a couple other SV riders on day 2, but neither on this forum. Struggling to get up and down the stairs today my legs are...

Re: First trackdays of the year booked...

Test-fit the SV on the new (to me, otherwise scabby and old, but sound) trailer. Also test-fit the new tail section (BB Plastics - looks good I reckon). Will be a busy few days to get that properly...

Re: First trackdays of the year booked...

Booked at The Old School next week - Tues and Weds at Cadwell. Looking like it's going to be a bit chilly. I have two sets of wheels - I'm debating whether to turn up with the Road 5's on, or the...

Re: R&G ShockTube

Cheers guys. Now I've refit the shock and the new exhaust though, I'm not confident I'll have enough room between the shock and the rear downpipe that I wouldn't be melting/burning it though. Maybe...
