Re: Who is still about?

I'm still here, at least once every 2 years. Bike's still in bits in the garage though.

WTD, curvy right hand side top fairing

Scrapes/scratches are OK within reason but the mounting points have got to be intact, and no outright cracks. Otherwise I'll just use the orrible one I already have :D

Re: In praise of Yuasa batteries

Mine has one of the uprated Yuasas in it, I think a YTZ12S- and I just charged it from completely dead after 2 years and it came back strong. Not quite as good as new I think, it seems a little low...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Lots of sanding and fillering- undenting a spare tank, and removing the caliper mounts from the left leg of a GSXR fork. Both projects I started in about 2009!

Re: Jetting info???

I'm surprised it wants jets tbh, but I think I saw a thread you posted about this? Hesitation at 6-7000 when you snap the throttle? If so that's a classic undersized mains symptom on the SV, it's the...

Re: What's the current hotness in aftermarket clocks for a curvy?

Cheers- what model is that? Looks really tidy but still readable, I like it a lot. Does it retain the warning lights? There is ample evidence that if I don't have a fuel warning light, it's only a...

WTD, curvy fuel tap and fuel level sensor

Mostly the fuel tap actually but if you've got both I'll take em- just want to set up a spare tank so I don't need to drain it all the time

What's the current hotness in aftermarket clocks for a curvy?

Used to be Koso last time I looked, which was like 7 years ago... Just thinking out loud just now but I liked running my S as an N from time to time and it'd be good to do it less halfassed, so I'm...

Re: Sv race bits

I'm sure I have a spare SRAD wheel in the garage, might have two. And I'll be dropping out a set of GSXR750 K5 forks Real Soon Now (I've been planning to do this since 2010, but it's actually coming...

Re: Curvy won't idle without choke, won't do mid throttle, will rev

Well that stayed impressively ontopic

In proper Northwind form, I've derusted the subframe, removed all the plastics and started refurbing my spare petrol tank, and not actually looked...

Curvy won't idle without choke, won't do mid throttle, will rev

Oh yeah, hello Org- it's that annual post I do where I remember I own a bike. How are we all?

Actually decided to do some work on it this winter though, and first things first, it starts but it...

Going through one of my annual "dig out the bike" sessions and thought hey, these spare wheels haven't moved for 5 years...

Re: The MTB thread

Which model is it? They're mostly pretty bad tbh.

What sort of bike are you after? £450 would nearly buy a brand new Voodoo Bizango, it'll definitely buy a very good used one, they're fantastic...

Re: The MTB thread

You could do worse than a Specialized Captain. They're a pretty good allrounder- the central tread blocks are close together so fast rolling in a straight line, and the rest of the tread is more open...

Long shot this but if you're reading- I should have said, if that was you- yeah I got it going but replace the rest of the hoses, they were orrible, it'll happen again if you don't fix it...
