Re: Vintage film cameras

I think my busted one was an XP30. You can buy a separate usb charger for them and just eject the battery rather than undoing the smaller fold down flap.

Re: Vintage film cameras

I think the battery/sd door leaked. There was corrosion on the battery contacts as well as the main board. Screen seems to be ok though but I have no way of testing it. The ribbon cable socket for...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Re: Vintage film cameras

With film camera prices on the up I'm pretty sure you could clear some out and fund a Fuji.

Re: Vintage film cameras

Popped into the local re-use shop today and picked up a likely candidate for the IR conversion. A slightly rough Panasonic TZ7. It probably got junked because the live image looked all pixelated and...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Got any film? I remember when APS came out, so much easier to shoot and load. I have a couple of APS cameras, both Canon.

Re: Vintage film cameras

I think I could probably turn it around for about 20. I've cleaned dust from my TZ35 sensor so no worries about tearing into a compact. Got a bid on a TZ4 for about 5 plus post.

This is the...

Re: Vintage film cameras

Going to carry out a little experiment soon. Found a video on YouTube where a guy removes the IR filter from a Panasonic TZ compact, glues a 720nm IR filter to the lens and takes IR shots. Normally...

Average I guess. Not really played with it much. I thought the Olympus was unsold.

That went over my head so I had to Google that. Made me laugh. Would I need an Adidas tracksuit too? Just picked up a Pentacon similar to the recent one as a possible parts camera. Was listed as...

Chance for a deal? Mismatch on battery, but can't be all that expensive to replace?

Re: Snorkelling camera

I have one of the Fuji XP range, Its an XP20. Not used it in anger as I'm not sure if its water tight. Find the focus a bit laggy but it is an older model so maybe the newer ones are better. I...

Re: Snorkelling camera

The Fuji Cameras seem to be prone to the power button breaking. I picked up an XP off ebay and managed to fix it but haven't tried it underwater yet. I think you need to take care of the seals. Have...

Picked up this retro looking Olympus Pen messenger bag off ebay, less than a tenner posted. Fits the camera with the 14-42 and 40-150 a treat.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

It depends on where the item is coming from. Fulfilled by Amazon generally means they have it in the UK. It may have come from out of the country.
