if the piston moves ok by hand then it should be good.

something else that might cause problems is too much grease on the sliding pins/bolt and blind holes.

i'll put it down to the new SS piston, it might be slightly bigger than the OEM one.

over tightening of the rez cap, this can cause a vacuum.

too much RRG when assembling the piston and seals. this can actually cause stiction.

more than likely you have the pad retaining clip round the wrong way. the long "tabs" go to the pistons.
