Re: SV1000S k4 engine swap
I got my manual disc from ebay for a quid or so. Engine swap should be straight forward, but I've not done my SV. Later thou's from K5 ( Black Frames ) had slightly different engines ( higher...

Re: Electrical Connector beneath airbox
I've just fixed the problem on my SV1000SK5. It's the yellow wires in the black connector. I extracted the wires from each side and found they were not burned like some. The male a female were...

Tell me about it Tim. I've had to do nearly every fix for Clios on the forum (http://www.renaultforums.co.uk). Only last week I was fixing the earths on the rear clusters in the pouring rain. Most...

Re: Leak in car
Daughter's Clio is like a swimming pool at the moment. Tons of stuff about dodgy sunroof seals and drains on Youtube. Looks like I'll be resealing it over the holidays. Tape poly over the sunroof...

Re: 2006 sv1000sz lurching
Check the throttle position Sensor. SV1000S is sensitive to this. It likes a very precise setting and mine didn't like the setting described in the TPS pictorial on here. This setting gave the...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Changed the leaky 'Cup Seal' on the SV's clutch slave cylinder. There was some right cack in what was left of the old fluid when I popped out the piston.

Re: Had a go on a CBR600RR
I rode a supersport for the first time since 2005 last month at Anglesey. I was amazed how much I felt perched on top of the 2007 ZX6R after riding my SV1000SZ for the last eight years. It was...

SV1000S at Oulton
Hi guys
Not put any vids on for a bit, but with a few SV Thou threads around, I though some of you might enjoy some recent onboard footage. Bike is a near standard SV1000SZ with 30000 miles and...

Re: SV1000 - New ride for 2015
Great pics. The SV 1000 is a great bike for the track and I've done nearly 40 on mine. The handling is really good on standard suspension and can be dialled in to suit anything. Here is a video...

Re: Sv1000 better made than the SV650?
Hi guys
I had a new 650SK3 for 3 years and 10000 miles, then bought an SV1000SZ in 2007 and done about 24000 miles and 35 trackdays on her ( including this Wednesday at glorious Donington ), so I...

Re: Sv1000 exhaust removal
These bolts are not bad quality and should have moved quite easily with a good quality long series key, especially if you give them a sharp hefty tap on the head first. Mine came out easily when I...

New J&S in Manchester
A new J & S opened yesterday in Openshaw, next to Machine Mart. I didn't even know they were coming. Not much in there yet but more stuff on the way.

left right movement along the pivot spindle is not bearings. It's the end float.
SV1000's are ace. Let me know when you need to know anything.

Re: Who does your bike maintenance??
The swing arm nut tool is quite cheap on ebay. Also check that the bearings are definately worn because it may be the notorious end float which can be shimmed out. My bearings just needed a...
