I can remember the Lightning from air displays when I was a kid and yes, it was very loud. Buccaneers weren't quiet either.

I braved the showers and went to Elvington air museum near York today. At least there was stuff to see inside when the rain came down.
Who can put the names to these?...

Not the best of days for a vintage car and bike show but it was an excuse to get out for a while.
Sadly, only 2 bikes. I thought B&W might add a bit of a 'period' feel.
