Re: Rear brake still sticking after servicing.

Tbh it's been so long since I cleaned a set of 650 calipers (front and rear) that I can't remember it the outer seal has the ridge or not. I imagine it does as the caliper serves no different...

Re: Rear brake still sticking after servicing.

Wow, crazy. TBH I haven't read the whole thread. When the caliper is off the bike, can you pump the lever and see the piston retract even a slight bit? And does the piston move back with assistance...

Re: Another USD thread

haha, that's the best option in my eyes. If you've got the money (between 800 and 1300 ish) then I'd highly recommend a front revalve and a new adjustable rear shock from Maxton. They really are...

Re: Touch up paint

Thanks chaps. Didn't have my key on me last night to check the code. It's under the seat, I guess? Or is it under the pillion seat?

Re: Touch up paint

Deep chip, needs filling. Not asking for paint expertise tbh, just a supplier. Simple enough question, really.

Re: Rear brake still sticking after servicing.

There'll most likely be some horrific dirt in the line. Have you changed it? If not, whip it off and blast it through with an air line. My VFR750 did this until I cleared the line out, some...

Re: Another USD thread

It's not about hard/soft (that's what she said). It's about the springs suiting your weight and the valving suiting your riding style.

Use this for spring rates:...

Re: Another USD thread

Haha, that's me out then. No idea - it either goes round corners as I want it to, or it doesn't. If it doesn't, I usually just pop the front end off to Maxton and have them work their magic. No...

Re: Another USD thread

Hence Maxton - they'll do an infinitely better job. I know, I've used them.

Not cheap though, by any stretch of the imagination. So if Bibio can suggest mixing oil weights to come up with...

Touch up paint

Hey,

Can anyone recommend a good source for Suzuki touch up paint (I'm gonna guess a couple of answers will be Suzuki!) thought it worth asking as there might be better places than OEM, these...

Re: Another USD thread

They work fine, but they're not quite as progressive and powerful as I've grown accustomed to. They improve massively with a Brembo RCS19, though. So if you've got the budget, I'd recommend one of...

Re: Another USD thread

I'd highly advise you go with Maxton over K-Tech. K-Tech are good, Maxton are superior. Both are pricey.

But yeah, a revalved stock front end will be every bit as good as an USD effort. I just...

Damn, didn't realise how big the photos were going to turn out. I thought it resized them automatically. I'll edit that later!

Another USD thread

I finally got round to fitting the k6 600 front end. Had a few issues with previously used brake lines being too short as this one was a good 15mm or so on the K4 1000 front end I previously had on....

Re: Sv1000 exhaust recommendations

They are stainless :) just wrapped them to hide the dent. Sounds like you made a good choice either way, make sure to record a video when your new ones are on

Re: GSXR top yoke to suit naked SV's

Oh you mean the way the gauges sit against the yoke...who gives a sh*t? Talk about being anal for the sake of it.

Well, Matt made it, he's up for making more.

Re: Sv1000 exhaust recommendations

Where are you based? I have standard scorpions (baffle included!) both have dents, but I vinyl wrapped them so they're invisible.

Re: handlebar swap

N top yoke won't fit. Different offsets. You also need the lower triple.

Re: Sv1000 exhaust recommendations

Baffles aren't a legal requirement. Noise level is at the testers discretion. Being pulled for a noisy exhaust is...probably...about as rare as hens teeth.

Just ride it.
