Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Do you think some of these car manufactures have a dedicated employee who's sole purpose is to look for the most awkward, inconvenient and messy place they could possibly find to put the oil filter...

I've had a busy day..... Brakes front and rear on my Landcruiser, plus new rear discs (with an internal drum brake for the handbrake, proper PITA) and then for good measure changed all the brake...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

My SXV550. It's had a bit of a misfire lately which I had put down to it being used so infrequently causing fuelling issues. Finally got round to putting a new set of plugs in it and it's perfect...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

The gear change on my VFR. I run an upside down race pattern shift which is normally just a case of turning the crank on the gear shaft over, however the VFR doesn't have any linkage as the shift...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Technically I'm sure that is true, but I've never had it happen to me or heard anyone else experience it. I wonder if the way the force is applied to the tyre makes a difference, i.e: braking tends...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

My XR650. Hadn't been started since last winter but usually goes within a few kicks. Jumped up and down on it for what seemed like an age yesterday before it finally ran like a pig, so pulled the...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

An Aprilia SXV550. My son has hankered after one for a while and when he finally managed to get it all it wants to do is try and kill him! We're getting there but it's still got a wicked weave at...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

My log pile. Winds last week bought down an Ash tree in the lane outside my house, which in turn took the phone lines and a big chunk of hedge..... Farmer gave me the tree as compensation so now...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
