Re: Pricing your bike to sell

Bit of advice...I've never EVER struggled to sell a bike for the same as, if not more than I bought it for. How do I do this....

I basically go into extremely granular detail about everything,...

Re: Oh no, not again (speeding)

I can see automated speed limitation of cars and bikes becoming the norm in the very near future. In all honesty, I'm blown away it's not happened already. Regardless of what people think, coppers...

Re: Oh no, not again (speeding)

Well the speed awareness course I did, with an ex copper of 50 years who now spends his life teaching these courses, said it wasn't a myth.

So I guess we'll never know.

And tbh...I don't care....

Re: The Crash Detectives - a sobering story

I find it almost incredible how everyone is an absolute expert on services such as the NHS and Police. Like more or less anything in life, keeping your uninformed opinions to yourself is probably...

Re: The Crash Detectives - a sobering story

Must be amazing, having that kind of insight into a police officer/detectives life. Do tell us more.

Re: Unnecessary use of Stinger on Bike?

How could you possibly know this? Aware of every chase, stolen bike and thief, are you?

Stop being so daft.

Re: The Crash Detectives - a sobering story

People would need to stop voting for the country's number 1 public service despising political party. 30'000 Police and PCO's down since 2010... and counting

Re: Unnecessary use of Stinger on Bike?

Irrelevant, he was asked to stop (ALL the traffic was).

While I get the feeling Bibio is playing devils advocate a bit by saying he doesn't care if someone dies when a stinger is used. I certainly...

Re: Oh no, not again (speeding)

Speed limit + 10% + 2MPH

As long as you're within that, you'll be offered a course (assuming you've not been on the same one within 3 years) - they won't say "better let him off, might be...

Re: Brake upgrade Ks SV1000 N

The sv1000 calipers are more than capable of locking up the front end with ease. Just clean them get non HH pads (they require a lot of heat to bite, stock pads are far better for street use).. And...

Zx10r shock from 2016

Hello all. So I have a low mileage curvy I was going to sell. I've not decided I'm going to keep it and use it as a track bike.

I've done my research and found a few of the zx10r/hayabusa shocks...

Re: Complete GSXR1000 front end

Willing to throw the discs in for an additional 50 if required. They have marginal left to right play in the bobbins, but it doesn't affect braking or pose any kind of danger.

Re: Cleaning Carbs

I paid Harpers Ultrasonic to sort my V4 VFR carbs (the most complex carbs to work on, period) and he did an amazing job. I had a new Lite-Tek seal kit applied to it as well, the whole carb assembly...

Re: Cleaning Carbs

Would love to know how an ultrasonic clean would be any different to pulling the jets and shoving weld tips through them (which is what 99.9% of mechanics will do) and spraying the carbs with carb...

Re: pointy SV ohlins SU323

No problem. In no rush to sell, so let me know either way. Good luck! Tell her yours is dangerously old and battered, so it's a safety thing :)

Re: 2004 GSXR 600/750 Front End Conversion

Actually, any SV1000 wheel will fit...often cheaper to buy, too. The wheels are comparable fitment for all 01+ GSXR. Only the spindle changes - I think from 2010 onwards the wheels aren't quite so...

Re: pointy SV ohlins SU323

Bolt in job, sprung for 70-90kg rider :)

It's a direct replacement for the pointy SV. It will fit all other non-ABS SV's (including the curvy and 1000) but will need revalving. I enquired with HM...
