The speedo sensor rotor is likely to be damaged for whatever reason. Take front wheel off and check or get a garage to do it for you.
It has happened a few times for myself and costed no more than...

The clear screen I bought aligns quite well but isn't perfect. The top Philips screws mounting lugs aren't like the standard screen and leaves a small between the fairing and the inner cover.

Have you checked the ignition wires?
I say this as someone tried to hotwire my bike not too long ago and only didn't manage it as they blew the fuse under the rider's seat...

Another attempted bike theft

Got on my bike after visiting a rifle club this evening to find that my bike had no electrical power (no lights at all). I knew I couldn't fix the issue as I did not have my multimeter with me....
