Re: being a white man

I think you nailed it. No-one wants equality. It's all about getting ahead so you can reproduce more than the next guy - the idea being that the best genes will win.

Doesn't really work anymore...

Re: Cutting out as pulling up to junctions

Not true with the tip over if it's merely fallen off it's mount. It will fairly randomly cut out and often make the bike cut out under G forces - most commonly when braking. I'm guessing this is due...

Re: Finally, a reason to buy a Harley

Nice vid and it's not a bad looking bike. The problem with the Rocket III is that whatever you do to it, it still looks like a Rocket III.

I like the Thunderbird as well, but if I ever bought...

Re: BMW servicing

You don't live in London.

Train = fast, hassle free (mostly), expensive
Bike = takes longer, more hassle but cheaper

But if you compare it to commuting by car it probably works out about the...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

No, the right assumption. This gent probably shouldn't be at one of these homes or the homes should be upgraded to cope.

Lots of "should"s there. You never know if the care company falls short of...

Re: BMW servicing

Premium bikes, remember. The SV rear shock usually needs replacing at that mileage but no-one bothers or even notices because it ain't that good when it's new.

Fork oil should probably be replaced...

Re: Finally, a reason to buy a Harley

Totally agree but the engine would only fit in a cruiser sized bike, but it wasn't a cruiser engine. It was far too smooth and far too eager - not particularly happy at just cruising.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Tony Green off of Bullseye. "Take your time, we want you to win..."

Or simply that the care home needs enough staff to cope.

I find that anything run commercially tends to only cover about 90%...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread

I know from experience that if you use self-raising flour instead of plain in normal puds, bizarrely they don't rise. So I'm not sure baking powder will work.

I've just dug out some recipes...

Re: The All new Reeder Megathread

But pancakes are nice as...
