Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?

While I was filling up my bike a really noisy Honda Jazz drove past. On the back the owner had stuck a "Type R" badge from a Civic.

I had to smile because I couldn't think of a less likely car...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Re: Crossrail

--+

There is no fair in politics, only expedient.

Big infrastructure projects like Crossrail, HS2, and Leeds Flood Alleviation generally enjoy cross party support. The Tories vote for them...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

If we find a cure for malaria, northern Thailand would be a very attractive place to retire to. The Thai language is hard for westerners to learn, but I'm sure I'd get by.

Re: Selling advice

I would start by looking at completed auctions on Ebay to see what similar bikes (age, mileage & condition) sold for in your area.

Re: car buying conundrum

Hi Bibio,

I don't know your situation, so feel free to ignore me.

The first question I would ask is whether you need wheelchair accessibility, or expect to need it in the near future? If you...

February Photo Comp - Graffiti

According to the internet (yeah right) Banksy said,

“Graffiti is one of the few tools you have if you have almost nothing. And even if you don't come up with a picture to cure world poverty you...

Re: Euthanasia, should we ?

From an engineering perspective it's relatively straightforward to kill yourself painlessly without difficult to obtain drugs. I can think of a couple of alternatives.

Whether we should is a much...

Re: Quote of the day (sorry, Brexit related)

Can't beat a well reasoned argument. :D

The need for a border comes from the difference in tax and regulation regimes between the two countries.

Within the EU the regulations have been...

Re: big engines (in cars)

My ST220 was from just before the new tax regime, which was fortunate because 20mpg wasn't unusual, and driven flat out you might see 10mpg. I only paid £255 per year which was peanuts compared to...

Re: to all the workers, a message from the bosses

I live down in the south, but I think if there was ever a time for Scotland to become independent this is it. We're at a point...

Re: to all the workers, a message from the bosses

Re: to all the workers, a message from the bosses

We've had decades of over spending by governments from all parties. But you don't get elected by promising £3.5 trillion cuts in...
