Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

If we count commuting I have ridden plenty :D The little GS125 has been great for the job of puttering along the back roads to work - 17 miles a day and 200+ miles to £10 - it feels like I never have...

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

So quiet in here! Everyone managing to get some miles in? I have been using the bike a lot lately for all sorts of general running around. Had a mission to "use up" the rest of my old back tyre as...

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

Our first session we did 4 laps in 20 minutes! Some old bloke on a Hornet (not me!) didn't go over about 65-70mph all the way round! Everyone sat behind him as they were obeying the "sighting laps"...

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

You know what its like - manic rushing about so didn't get a chance to walk the pits or anything. Had a great time eventually after wishing I had booked into inters/fast instead of novice/inters as...

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

Fitted a -2t sprocket on the GS at the weekend hoping for 50mph cruising - it does... just... but only if I am against the stop as its slightly too overgeared... Took the risk on the -2 instead of...

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

That's the issue I had - they were by no means novices and it was a proper baptism of fire for a nervous novice! Fun but daunting at the same time... I would much rather have covered less ground and...

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

I went down the off-road route for 2 years with my DRZ but found that it wasn't really for me. The local TRF group were welcoming but they were all keen off-roaders with a bit of road riding now...

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

Managed 10 miles on the GS today and got the swingarm out of the Hornet yesterday - working on the bikes has got me all fired up to start riding properly again. Roll on dry non-salty days :)

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

Collected the Suzuki exhaust today - been nicely welded up - just needs a coat of VHT black paint as it currently looks like a giant brown turd :p Back on the road next week hopefully! :D

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

Funds are always an issue! Hopefully the powder-coating will be under £100 (should be) and will spruce up the look of the bike. Thinking that I will probably leave the wheels as they are as they...
