Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

And if they make it 10 times more, you'll share it with them 50-50 :)

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

That's what you think - the damn thing will be annoying you 5 years from now and continuing to refuse to die :) :)

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

A friend of mine's brother was a bee keeper and found a wasp nest in a neighbours compost heap, killed them by misting it with petrol.
This may be a method of killing your wasps without harming the...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Not sure how true this...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Common sense needs to be applied - if you're wearing gloves and intend to leave stuff on the step for collection, where's the problem?

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

That's awful, bad enough that a friend of mine has just found he's now terminally ill and has months left, at least he's nearly 60. Losing someone so young must really test your sanity, not sure I'd...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Must be something doing the rounds - one of my lads has just phoned to say he might be off tomorrow with a stomach bug, and as I have some kind of virus which is leaving me feeling kind of tired and...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

The original reports said motorcycle vs lorry, but later ones said it was a hit a run by a "small dark coloured vehicle" - don't know if maybe the collision with the hit and runner pushed him into...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Can only echo the sentiment here, came up from Harlow this morning and found the m11 closed northbound, was afraid to hear that it might have been fatal when I saw that it was lorry vs motorbike :(

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Hear bloody hear, working just on the Mall, and parking opposite Downing St. - and having no building notices sent to us for ages left me with no choice but to scoot out early after my night shift to...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Out at 0630 this morning, heavyweight quilted overtrousers made their first appearance this year, Lidls 20 quid gloves on, hands were cold by the time I got into Central London, but not horribly so -...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Thanks for the tip, I'll give the link a scan, been working various shifts for 36 years now, and it seems to be catching up with me these last few months :)

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Insomnia.
I'm currently on the 2nd day shift of a run of 3 days and 3 nights so getting plenty of rest before the ride into London to do my 11 hour day and 13 hour night shifts is important. Went to...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

All 3 of our cats are bigger than the dog, and aren't particularly nasty - the time I had to try and get the NFC picked up was following an accident and a trip to the vet was required - sod's law...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

+1 to the neck drops for safety, my Norwegian Forest Cat is a big softie, but the last time I picked him up against his will I ended up hospitalised with shredded hands and arms :)

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

M11 this morning at 0630 - I went past one, yes one car which had its fog lights on, seeing as there was probably 50-100m visibility at the time it would have been more comforting to see a few more....

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Yet another puncture! 3rd one in about 6 months now, really rotten luck!
Luckily, I have a PR4 in the garage ready to go on, so it's not quite as bad as it could have been

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
