Re: K3 front end

Have you tried "advanced search"? Click on search, then advanced search in the little box/window that appears. Or, try a right click on search and select "open link in new tab".

Re: Front fork Springs help

Did you try the Racetech spring rate calculator I pointed you to? It would give you a good idea of how close, or far out, the standard springs are for your weight and riding style.

Re: Front fork Springs help

If you look here
https://racetech.com/ProductSearch/12/Suzuki/SV650%20A%20S%20SA/2019
you will see, under **Front Products**, that the the standard/stock spring rate is 0.71kg/mm. Just below,...

Re: Tyres.

For those of us still running 120/60 front tyres, a good "pair deal" is more and more difficult to find and it is only going to get worse. Metzeler, for example, don't make 120/60 fronts in Roadtec...

Re: Tyres.

Has anyone tried Mitas Touring Force tyres? Mitas, formerly Sava, made really good sticky tyres for lightweight motorcycles and I used them on my TZR125.

Re: Tyres.

I have run Storm 3D-XM and they were great value and lasted over 10k. I am currently running Avon Spirit ST because I couldn't find a Storm 120/60 front. The Spirit ST rear has cupped/ledged badly at...

Re: SV650S Headlight Upgrade Opinions

I found these cheap LED H4 bulbs far superior to the Osram Nightbreakers I took out and at only £8.00 a pair

Re: Nothing on the button

It is supposed to stop when you put it in gear with the side stand down; to stop you riding off with it down. It sounds like it is just your starter solenoid, but you should check the battery voltage...

Re: GSX-8S reviews

I wouldn't rush out and buy one because Suzuki will soon have to cut the price to match the Hornet if it wants to sell more than a few.

Re: Arai helmets

Interesting link; I've seen similar before but they always seem to be out of date information. It does illustrate that manufacturers change shape over time and from model to model. The early HJCs...

Re: Arai helmets

I've been using an Arai Axces3 helmet for about 3 or 4 years now. It cost about £250 as end of line sell off; way more than I wanted to spend but it was the best fit I could find for my round head...

Re: Carb vacuum

Even if your fuel tap is leaking the float needles in your carbs should stop the carbs flooding. The rubber tips tend to go hard with age, especially if the bike has been unused for long periods of...

Re: Sticky choke lever

One of my cables, after the splitter, rusted away enough that it snapped; so the choke was only actuated on one cylinder.

Re: Sticky choke lever

A good tip is to put some rag or kitchen roll in the mouth of the carbs as soon as the air box is off and remove it last thing before replacing it - no worries about dropping things in there then. My...

Re: Bolts

If you know someone with a lathe you could buy the standard capscrews in stainless, so you don't have to worry about plating/corrosion, and get the heads turned down. I'm assuming that these bolts...

Re: 2005 sv650s won't start

Do not try 24v!!! it will probably fry your ECU and could damage other things too. Incidentally, car batteries are generally 12v too. 24v, I would think, are mainly commercial vehicles.

Re: Retrofit naked pegs onto 2000 SV650S curvy

I've fitted naked foot pegs to my 2001 SV650S and fitted rearset riser plates upside down (I had to modify mine slightly to do this) to lower them about another 10mm. As they are moved back about...

Re: 110 miles on MT09SP

Just an idea. I think you should try set the high and low speed compression damping to their softest and leave the rebound on standard to start with. My reasoning is you want the compression to be as...
