Re: Optimism for a windy day

Of course wind will work with the Conservative policy. It's why they're also not affected by Covid, because Covid knows they know each other and it can't infect them - mainly because they're not...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Re: Proposal to stop bike modifications

This has been going around for years.

Re: The Covid19 thread

It makes no difference to the MP's as they'll flout the rules/laws they implement. It's the Public who have to deal with the fall out of restrictions & the loss of loved ones.

When they start...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Most places are better at getting decent measurements in place for arm length, waist, chest etc.
The correct size one arrived today and it fits as i hoped it would (with some room for a thicker...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

I ordered a jacket from SBS which arrived today, and it's the wrong size. So that's being returned and have just re-ordered the right size again . . . . let's hope they get it right this time.
I...

Re: The Covid19 thread

Good news (In your best James May voice), they have rescinded the offer due to all the backlash received. So they've only corrected their wrong due to others pushing them to do so . . . .

Re: The Covid19 thread

The systematic change needed is to hold MP's accountable for their actions, and don't treat them like they're above the law.
If they stop representing the people and only work for themselves/party...

Re: The Covid19 thread

It simply shows no one at that higher level in the world really gives a to$$ about mere mortals. If that record of all his failures and deaths he caused the last 18 months is rewarded like that, then...

Re: The Covid19 thread

You mean like the UN hiring Matt Hancock as the being appointed as a special envoy to help Africa's recovery from Covid . . . .

Essentially the person responsible for the health of those in the UK...

Re: The Covid19 thread

Potentially, it might do that over a longer time period. But an earlier lock down to protect the vulnerable & to slow the spread should have been able to allow important medical appointments to...

Re: The Covid19 thread

Of course not, especially when the opposition are too busy arguing internally to consider the public opinion of them.

They couldn't, as it was pretty obvious for all to see they probably did...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

It could have been a mix up between the courier confirming the tyre was delivered to the garage - or maybe they used what they had for you, for someone else and their delivery was for stock fitment...

Re: 1.43 litre

The local Shell to where i am staying this week is 1.47 a litre.

Not saying it's cheap, but it's 'only' 10-12p a litre more than normal. So even on my 70L tank it's only 7+ if i were to fill up...

Re: FB outage

I heard this happened just as a Whistleblower was giving a news piece on CNBC. Coincidence? Or does the site have to be taken down to remove all the material she sent to the media :D

Re: FB outage

Re: Global supply chain

The more you have made locally, the lower the price gets. Low volume output stuff will always be more expensive as you have less inventory to spread the costs over.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

I think they can't continue it, as they waste so much time with people who don't have issues but continually get appointments.

I think they should have a triage nurse to asses a patient before a...

Re: Global supply chain

It points to the reliance on other countries/regions being unsustainable on a long term basis.
These things need to start being created more locally/within regions where it is closer to the...
