I also had the Suzuki vee single issue in the rain, and a single application of dielectric grease on the inside of the plug cap seemed to solve it. I was considering also making up some kind of cover...

Thanks Keith, but it doesn't look like the Pyramid one would be able to hold the required amount of fluids to be ACU eligible, regardless of level of modification!

Specifically, I'm looking for a decent length aftermarket bellypan that can be modified to use for ACU races, so will need to hold fluids ;-)

Stripped RH switchgear, cleaned up contacts for starter, and the starter works!
Cleaned contacts for the light switch too, and then stripped LH side switch, albeit with more swearing thanks tm, ...
