End result... = Claw and pin had stuck some how, when I removed the Clutch cage thats when I heard a click , and suspose that was the Claw relocating its self.
All back together now, with new oil filter, oil, coolant, plugs and such like.
and a rather nice looking clutch case...

IMHO
Thank you to all for your advice, Now riden 60 miles at various speeds and no problems... touch wood.

Hi all, well this is my problem.
went out for a ride with my missus yesterday as parents had the kids ...
went up over toward Haws over Buttertubs then back via Richmond,..... very nice.
right then you get the picture.....
I experience a false neutral and just re-try for the same gear.. everything OK and we continue to ride along,
then about 20 miles later, as we overtake a van in 3rd gear I think, change up to 4th not a problem but then there might have been a click sort of felling from my foot as trying to get 5th... but nothing, no 5th ... starys in 4th, so we slow down to pull over, I change down to 3rd no problem, but pedal feels hard and does not self centre, just stays down,
On inspection, I see nothing amiss, no oil patch, we wait 5 minutes to check oil level and that's fine just under to full line.
when we finally get the bike home, I put it on the Abba stand and look more closely to see ... nothing wrong externally.
So I guess it an engine out and strip down then...
Still can only get 3rd & 4th , and the pedal stays in the lower (3rd) or upper (4th) position,
So what to you lot think, adjustment of linkage? or a snapped return spring or the fork selector stuck...
What do you think I should be looking for or trying first, and how much is a gasket / seal kit to split the engine?
Thank you in advance for any suggestion.
but I think it will be an engine strip down
