I fitted a pyramid hugger and the rubber pads that take up the slack in the clamp are not stuck on with heat-resistant adhesive. Since the swing arm gets warm the net result is a hugger that moves and rubs the tyre as the pads squeaze themselves out. Nice.

I have no idea why pyramid have used a two piece clamp unless they have been lazy and are using an existing design. A single piece would be much better and cheaper too.

I have sort of solved it by stacking the pads on top of each other, but I intend to get a one piece bracket made by a local fabricator to use the fixing point for the rear brake line clip.


The hugger itself is pretty good though.
