In the case of the Pyramid one, it replaces the chain guard on the left side and comes with a clamp that wraps around the swingarm on the right side (which is where I'm stuck). You take the chain guard off and remove the small black plastic shock guard and (Carefully - to avoid scratches) slide the hugger in place without needing to do anything else. Then you bolt it in to the chain guard holes and fit the clamp. Supposedly, you can still change the tire without needing to remove it as well.
My understanding is the Suzuki OEM ones bolt on differently.
