Hmm..Pete, it may indeed have been a 306. All these tin tops look the same to me

. I could have sworn the colour was silver

though unless it was a very very light blue.

Even if you did something wrong ( hey we all make mistakes don't we ) it still doesnt warrant trying to knock you off your bike. Retalating with violence only drags you down to his level. Some car drivers just don't like bikers filtering or maybe he didnt see you and you spooked him.
Sounds like you had a lucky Even iescape, give the police a ring and report what this toss pot did so that he doesnt do it to somebody else.

Fizz, what you have just written is exactly what I was about to write

. Only you put it better than I probably would have

I really don't think it was a case of spooking him. As I approached the first set of lights there were only maybe a maximum of four six cars. The lights had just gone red so I knew it would be a while before they turned green again. I slowly made my way to the front and put my bike slightly aheard of the car on the right and as I normally do raised my hand to the car I'd just gone in front of(keeps most happy). All he had to do was carry on in his lane(big sign say use both lanes blah blah). That's why it's so odd. I don't want to say understand as that would be a stupid thing to say but it would have made more sense if I'd actually stuck my bike in front of his car when I got to the front. You know something I was indeed lucky that I chose to stop in front of the other car for starters.
Dudes, going from how it all started I would put a lot of money that trying to knock his mirrors etc would have the guy have you off without batting an eyelid.
It took a bit to get the Reg as after making contact with me, his driving became even more dangerous as he tried to make some distance. Even factoring the fact that the roads are a bit iffy and I sort off didn't want to get too close(just close enough to get the Reg), it was a bit of work.
