Work on a chemical plant per chance? Or refinery?
Now a days the instruments/DCS are vital to any plant, so as long as you try and keep in with what the instruments are interfacing with you'll still have plenty of opportunities I reckon. And it's always good to master one thing, then you can set out and master evrything else!
