I fitted lowering links from Banditmania to my other halfs curvy (they do them for a pointy too) and they worked a treat. Dropped the forks 10mm as well to keep the geometry much the same. Not sure exactly how far this combination dropped the seat height in total but she went from getting toes on the ground with straight legs to having feet flat on the ground with bent knees. Banditmania say the links alone drop the rear of the bike 30mm which translates to 8-10mm at the seat.
Having ridden the bike before and after I can't tell the difference in terms of handling. Still has plenty of ground clearance (both pegs and front pipe/oil filter) and although the bike sits a little more upright on the stand it is still perfectly stable.
Other option if you have a pointy is a lowered gel seat from Suzuki, apparently they are more comfortable as well as being lower, just a pity they don't do them for a curvey.
hope this helps
cheers
