How much free play is acceptable in the swinging arm bearings?

With the wheel out and shock and cushion lever removed I have slight movement between the right hand pivot spacer (item 7 on the exploded diagram of the assembly) and the swing arm (10) which translates to about 2 to 3 mm side to side movement at the wheel end of the swing arm.

If the swing arm pivot shaft was not tightened to the correct torque (15 Nm) could this result in free play? i.e. is it worth undoing the lock nuts and checking the torque setting on the pivot shaft?

And finally, if the swing arm pivot bearings are shot, how much am I looking at to have them replaced?

The bike is a K3 pointy with 18k.
