HA! In my day you have to make do with a hell of a lot of plaster, and the heavy pot stuff at that - none of this nice lightweight fibreglas stuff...
... if you were really lucky you'd get the higher technology of a wedge shaped bit of wood - driven into a cut in the side of the plaster to make your leg bend back opposite to the way it was twisting.
