Best thing to do is to meet up talk about the route and then have a general idea where your going then its down to you how you ride. No one will leave you behind, everyone looks out for each other. Unfortunatly most of the meets end up north of the south if you get me so its alot of travelling to get to any meets.. But on a nice sunny day who cares!!!

Cheers mate - know what you mean about the distance tho - and the furthest I've ridden is only about 40 miles in one go - ever since I have had the bike its been gales and torrential rain down here!
I really want to go, cos I want to look at other peoples riding styles and learn how to become a more confident rider - am still having a bit of a problem occasionally running wide in right hand bends - pretty sure its because I'm not looking far enough ahead in a bend. Have been picking up tips from the mags which help, but I don't think there is any substitute for riding along with other people, and them also watching me and offering advice.
Hopefully something will happen down here!
