Why is it that if you resort to hitting stuff with a hammer
and swearing at it
at the start of problem solving .. it never works, but try it as a last resort and it fixes the "problem".
Checked ignition fuse, all good.
Put wire in clutch switch to see if it was faulty, all good.
Smashed the starter button a bit and IT WORKS
I guess its just a dodgy button ..
