Jambo is correct, only the K3's didn't have the flashing light stage. Just a solid light as soon as you hit reserve (About 12.5-13 Litres)
Are you filling up while the bike is on the sidestand or sitting on the bike and squeezing as much fuel as you can in? Can make a difference.
I'd guess that if your light came on at 110 you were pretty close to running out
