As long as it is Isopropyl Alcohol you will be fine , I work in an optronics company and we use Iso on glass and plastics as it`s oil based , evaporates quite quickly , leaves no marks or grease behind and doesn`t damage any of our protected surfaces

I used Zippo lighter fuel to desticker my Orange mountain bike frame before applying fresh Decals , worked a treat , didn`t damage the paint and was available from local stores .
