darylB and I took a break from our hectic and demanding lifestyles to do a scout of the route today
I'm pleased to confirm that it's an absolute cracker
No new scameras, only a few awkward bends, only 3 sets of traffic lights - and depending on exactly where we start that might be 2 - fantastic mix of open fast roads and tight twisties to include two hairpins
, scenery from English chocolate box villages with thatched cottages to wild Welsh hills, 160 miles total route length, good stopping points with iconic bike cafes and fuel alongside, and manageable splits.
I'm uploading a few pics (here's two, few more to follow)
These are on the B4364 at Burwarton, between Bridgnorth and Ludlow.
Watch this space, I'll be posting a pile more.
I promise a fantastic ride
Edit - here's the OK Diner at Leominster. Terrific American kitsch.
Huge meals, good value
and while we were there, these arrived. Oh glory be. I near - well, I won't say...
More soon
