Tarmac. Hard.
Pootling along at 40 along the Nantwich Crewe (IIRC) road, near Bunbury, going round an medium left leading into a long right. Was wet grass on the road and it started to slip away (only just scrubbed new tyres in). Managed to recover that by getting upright, but that cocked up my position on the corner and I ran wide into the verge, snapping a roadside sign in two and going over the bars and to the right then for a trip along the tarmac. Have left the bike at my uncles house until I can source a van this week.
On reflection, if I had kept my bottle and stayed on I think I could have ridden it round and just scared myself. However, if I'd tried that and failed, it would have been me snapping the sign with my body rather than the bike. I am SO lucky. Can't stop reliving it with 'what ifs'.
I'm OK apart from my shoulder which is really stiff and sore, might pop down the hospital on monday if its still bad. Hein Gericke leathers, fantastic. All I could think whilst I was somersaulting was 'mustn't bang the ****in lid' which I avoided

. Hated lying in the road with my head spinning and unable to move. Was trying to do a 'can I move everything check' when I heard a tractor engine and I realised just where I was in the road: smack bang in the middle after a corner.
Should have got more pics tbh.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Mum cried

. I was tempted to get my uncle to take a pic of me lunging next to the sign though! Thought it would have been a bit much having woke my Uncle up with:
'Alright Steve, how are you'
'Fine where are you'
'In a hedge'
'Oh'
Thanks to the couple of people who pulled me together and got my P&J out the hedge.
I THINK if the forks are straight it might be repairable. What does everyone think? If not, I'll break it then get another. Only done 6000 miles, 150 miles on these tyres. I love my bike
Sorry for the long post, my head is quite busy atm. Some twunt wound down the window and had a go at bikers in general, tit.
Hand over the hedge crown then gents!
