Default Re: eBay

Paypal works as a middleman between the seller and buyer. Paylpal pays the seller, and then paypal takes money from the buyers chosen fund, such as a current account or credit card.

It costs you money to transfer funds OUT of a paypal account (if you are a seller for instance) but its free for you to buy things with it.

I have had my paypal account hacked and my credit card charged. This was due to me having a crap password I think, but it was never confirmed. I did get it back but its a pain in the **** jumping through the hoops.

I WILL NOT give paypal my current account details under any circumstances.

If my card gets cloned or my account is hacked I have time to sort it out before I need to pay the credit card bill. This is not the case if money disappears from my current account.
