Of course, but in a school you are obliged to be there all day long. You can't have separate rules for every child, and perhaps by being so strict on this rule the other 80% of students benefit.

Whilst I do think that tolerance and understanding absolutely crucial to a civilised society, we also need to learn that things can be crappy sometimes and we just need to get on with it. Rules are sometimes in place for reasons not immediately obvious. Schools need to teach you to think, and having a rigid set of rules is fundamental to that.

Facilities to work are ALWAYS available; schools have their fair share of seats and a pens Maybe not DVDs and TVs, but if there was a course involving doing nothing but watching films, I'd be Professor of it.
