Saw a thread about one guy who loved wearing jeans so much he would wear them armor kecks, some other type with kevlar, then jeans, then sliders strapped on over top.

Seemed like a total waste of time to me, you're going to look a tool wearing lycra pants and sweat a lot, so just wear leathers. You won't get better protection than that.

I bought some teknic leather pants in summer for £35, quality is good so far, no signs of wear even after a couple of thousand miles and a little crash. You don't have to spend silly money.
